TERMS AND CONDITIONS

There is a non-refundable/non-transferable research and design fee which is due after our initial consultation call before any work has begun. Our professional services include the research and planning, customized proposals and itineraries, *one revision of travel plans, assistance before, during and after your travels, navigating you through the ever changing covid 19 travel protocols, exit and entry requirements, extended hours outside of regular business hours to answer your questions, Concierge services, advocating on your behalf with suppliers and your operators, *securing your booking and any activities in destination, my expertise and knowledge along with great exclusive supplier relations to better serve you. Rates start at $150 and vary depending on multiple factors such as complexity, size of groups, destinations, and type of trip. These rates will be discussed with you upfront during our initial consultation. They do apply to all new trips.

*If you decide not to book with Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge after your custom proposal has been sent, your paid professional fee will not be refunded under any circumstance as this covers the time invested in the research, resources and more that have already been put forth. If you should decide to book your own travels after proposals have been sent, there will be no further assistance and your paid professional fee will not be refunded. Of course we understand you may want to book on your own or elsewhere but our exclusive assistance is only offered to our traveling clients in whom we have personally booked.

*Should there be more then one travel revision, (eg. Decided you would like to change destination or date after proposals has been sent), Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge reserves the right to charge a non refundable $100 revision fee. The fee is to cover the additional research hours and planning. You are allowed a maximum of 3 revisions total. After 3 revisions to your travel plans, we will consider it a new booking and our standard research and design fee will be implemented.

Any changes and cancellations by an Airline, Tour operator or Cruiseline is subject to the terms and conditions set out by them and is not the decision made by Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge. 

Due to expenses incurred by changes, Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge charges a  $35 per person per request for any changes that are requested or required after 24 hours of receiving my reservation confirmation email. This may include travel date changes, name changes, room category changes, and more.

Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge is not an Insurance Agency and that 3rd-party Trip Protection is optional and the cost is non-refundable once purchased. I understand that Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge cannot sell, solicit or negotiate travel insurance policies and that Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge has not made a binding assurance or promise about insurance coverage. I acknowledge that I have been advised about purchasing Travel Protection and the possible results if I choose not to purchase Travel Protection.

Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge will retain my Non-Refundable per-person initial payment for the cancellation of this reservation with no regard for the reason for cancellation. This cancellation fee also applies to all cancellations that result in a rebooking. Should you receive a supplier future travel credit, the professional rebooking fee will be $150, and must be paid prior to rebooking.

Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge is not responsible for decisions made by the airlines, tour operators or cruiselines pertaining to any changes or cancellations implemented by them.

Due to COVID-19, travel may be impacted and cause disruption to flights, hotel or other portions of your travel plans.

 There may be extra procedures and policies that will need to be followed in compliance with the arrival and departure airports, airlines, hotels, tours and other elements of your travel plans. Including and not limited to the use of masks at airports and while in flight, limited capacity in areas of a hotel along with some facilities not operating within a resort/hotel,etc.

Any changes and or cancellations by the traveller will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the airline, hotel and or tour operator and may be subject to cancellation/change fees and will be addressed accordingly by the agent. The agent will not be held responsible for those fees should you choose to cancel or change any portion of your travel plans.

Cancellation: Any amendment or any changes to a reservation (date change, rerouting) constitutes a cancellation. Should you wish to cancel a booking, you must do so in writing

Travel Documents- It is your responsibility to inquire on, and obtain, all required travel documents. Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge is not liable for any and all consequences of inappropriate or missing travel documents. A valid Canadian passport is mandatory for all travel outside Canada. Some countries require that your passport be valid for six months beyond the date of your return to Canada. Canadian citizens born in certain countries may require a visa in addition to a valid passport. A permanent resident card will be required for permanent residents/landed immigrants who are not Canadian citizens. One (1) parent travelling with a child under age 18 may have to obtain a notarized letter of consent signed by the parent not travelling. Travelers are responsible for checking which documents are required, and then making certain that they have the necessary documents in hand prior to departure. Travelers failing to provide the required documents may be denied boarding privileges by the carrier or relevant authorities, without further recourse or the possibility of a refund. . Liability: Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge does NOT accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or willful act or failure to act or otherwise of any Travel Service Provider or of any third party. In addition and without limitation, The Agency is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay, or damage to person or property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from, but not limited to, acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes or other means of transportation, or for any failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time. Also, be advised that certain foreign facilities such as air-conditioning systems in public places, hotels and motor coaches may not be up to Canadian standards. If due to weather, flight schedules or other uncontrollable factors you are required to spend additional night(s), you will be responsible for your own hotel, transfers and meal costs unless the airline provides this.

Taxes and Baggage Fees: Baggage allowance and restrictions will apply on all airlines. These will vary, and you should contact the airline you are travelling for the specific restrictions. Baggage is entirely at owner’s risk. You specifically agree that the Agency is not liable for any consequential loss or damage. Some airlines may charge fees for checked baggage. Please note that additional airport fees and government taxes may not be included in your ticket prices, these are collected at destination.

Reconfirming Flights and Check-In: It is your responsibility to confirm your flight departure times at least 24 hours prior to departure. Some airlines will have schedule changes and your flight times may differ to what is stated on your Itinerary. We recommend that you reconfirm your onward and return flights at least 3 days prior to each journey. Platinum Dreams Travel Concierge is not responsible for schedule changes. All passengers are asked to check in at least 2 hours for domestic and 3 hours for international prior to the scheduled time of departure of their flight due to enhanced security measures. We recommend online check-in available with most airlines at least 12 hours prior to departure and for most cruises, at least 72 hours. Please note that all travelers must be present with their boarding documents, passport and visas necessary for the destination. Any passenger arriving late for check-in will be denied boarding.
